This photographic work, 'Visitare', brings together powerful symbols from art history and mythology. The rich, blood-red interior of the pomegranate spills open, juxtaposed against the fragile wings of the butterfly. The composition was built to be both visually stunning and intellectually stimulating- offering a modern take on traditional still life themes. 'Visitare' is part of the ongoing Onweacnan series which encompasses works of neovictoriana still life.
