This piece engages in dialogue with historical masters, moving beyond mere representation to infuse the composition with powerful, allegorical symbolism related to life's cyclical nature, growth, fragility, and renewal. Through photography, traditional themes of vanitas and memento mori, are reexamined and imbued with a forward-looking message of transformation. 'Transfigurato' is part of the ongoing Onweacnan series which encompasses works of neovictoriana still life.
