'Copia' reimagines the traditional vanitas theme, where fruit and other objects serve as symbolic reminders of life's transient nature. This piece updates that narrative, using modern lighting techniques to create a dramatic, almost theatrical, interplay of light and shadow- inspired by the works of historical masters like Caravaggio. The result is a vibrant, modern interpretation that is both a celebration of natural abundance and a nod to centuries of art history. 'Copia' is part of the ongoing Onweacnan series which encompasses works of neovictoriana still life.
