Blōd - Restored Antique Frame, One of a Kind

Custom archival print, hand-selected and paired with a restored antique or vintage frame. Each work is unique and will not be available in the same way again; every piece is a whole art object. One of a kind works come with a Certificate of Authenticity, have a finished dust covered back with an official Veneration of Light wax seal, and are ready to hang.

'Blōd' was photographed in the tradition of Old Masters like  Jacob van Walscapelle and Balthasar van der Ast, and utilizes an "art historical voice" where every element is intentional. The pomegranates, with their deep crimson seeds, are enduring symbols of abundance, and eternal life, often appearing in Renaissance works. The oranges add warmth, energy, and luxury, as citrus fruits were historically expensive delicacies that connoted wealth and passion. 'Blōd' is part of the ongoing Onweacnan series which encompasses works of neovictoriana still life.
